On Giving and Receiving
You see in order to give you must also receive. And, In order to receive you must also give. It is the natural law of the universe. It is a balancing system which creates a wave of equality among the givers and the receivers.
If you find you often give too much, and never get back, how does that make you feel? Some people believe this is the best way to be, in a way offering themselves up like a sacrificial lamb. While it may seem to be the right way, the right thing to do, where is your space to be able to feel the love and beauty the universe provides to each and every one of you?
If the scale is unbalanced, this creates a tipping in directions. You see one is tipping high, think of this as positive. The other is tipping down, think of this as a negative direction. How does this seem to you?
Visualize the scale in your mind. Do you like the way it looks, does it seem fair? While we know things are not always fair, we do know it is not for certain people to only be the givers, and others to be the receivers.
Think of when you were a child and liked playing on the teeter totter. The fun was going up and down. Such beautiful anticipation and excitement, knowing you would get to experience both. But when you were stagnant in one position, it wasn’t fun at all. And at this point, the person at the bottom may decide to get off, leaving the other to fall or come down quickly.
We ask you to work together in your world to maintain the natural balance, as we want this for all of you. How good does it feel to surprise someone with a kind compliment, a smile, a listening ear, a helping hand, a special gift, or something they weren’t expecting?
It feels wonderful, satisfying, uplifting you up to a higher place while feeding your soul. Remember this feeling, because it is the same for those who do kind and loving things for you, too. We know there are those who are selfish, will take advantage, but they aren’t the norm. When you encounter someone like this, you get to decide if you would like to like to play their “game.”
In instances such as these, connect to your soul, your heart, recognize this is a lesson and they have their own work to do. Then, send them love and healing energy, and skip on to someone who is ready to give and receive in reciprocation.
Follow the golden rule in as many situations as possible, and you will stay on the right path. The saying is simple but it makes so much sense, doesn’t it?
